Spekto

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

By using Spekto (spekto.live) you agree to these terms. Spekto is provided by Brattheng AS (Norwegian org. no. 933 662 463).

The service

Spekto is a platform for real-time photo sharing at events. Organizers create an event, and guests share photos and messages by scanning a QR code. No app or registration is required for guests.

Purchase and payment

  • Events are purchased individually via Stripe. The price shown includes VAT.
  • Payment is a one-time fee per event — no subscription.
  • Access is granted immediately after payment.

Refund policy

You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. If the service has been actively used (photos uploaded, QR code shared with guests), the right to a refund is forfeited. Contact us at [email protected] to request a refund.

Content and responsibility

  • The organizer is responsible for content shared in their event.
  • Spekto offers optional AI moderation but does not guarantee that all inappropriate content will be caught.
  • We reserve the right to remove content that violates applicable law or is clearly offensive.
  • Guests own their photos. The organizer has the right to use the photos in the context of the event.

Availability

We strive to keep Spekto available at all times but cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We are not liable for losses caused by service interruptions, but will do our best to resolve issues promptly.

Storage and deletion

  • Events and all associated data (photos, video, guestbook) are automatically deleted after the expiry date set by the organizer.
  • The organizer can delete the event and all data at any time from the admin panel.
  • Guests can delete their own photos and entries directly in the app.

Privacy

See our privacy policy for information on how we handle personal data.

Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

When you as an organizer create an event, Spekto processes personal data (photos, names, audio recordings) from your guests on your behalf. This section constitutes the data processing agreement between you (data controller) and Spekto (data processor) under GDPR Article 28.

  • Purpose and scope: Storage and display of photos/video/audio, optimization and transcoding, AI moderation, transcription, and display in the feed, on the wall, and in the ZIP export.
  • Categories: Photos (may contain faces), video, audio recordings, first name/nickname, GPS location, comments, likes.
  • Duration: From event creation until data is deleted (max 90 days Base tier, 365 days Pro, or manual deletion). Monthly database snapshots for disaster recovery/audit are kept for up to 3 years — database structure only, not media files.
  • Our obligations: We only process data under this agreement and applicable law, ensure confidentiality for everyone with access, implement technical and organizational security measures (Art. 32), notify you of new sub-processors with a 14-day objection period, assist you in fulfilling your guests' rights, delete all personal data upon termination, and notify you without undue delay in case of a breach.
  • Sub-processors and transfers: See our privacy policy for a full list of sub-processors and the legal basis for transfers of data outside the EU/EEA.

Changes

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we will notify active users by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be resolved by Norwegian courts.
