Good to know before the event
Do attendees need to download an app?
No. Attendees open Spekto in their browser via the QR code or link. They don't need an account. You, as the organiser, sign in.
Can we approve photos before they're shown?
Yes, with Pro you can turn on approval so you choose what appears in the feed before anyone else sees it.
What happens to the photos afterwards?
Photos are stored for 3 months with Spekto or 12 months with Pro, from the event date. Download your memories before the period ends – then everything is deleted.
Can we use our own logo?
Yes, with Pro you can add your own logo to the page attendees see.
Can attendees upload video, not just photos?
Yes. Attendees can upload both photos and video — up to 100 MB per file — straight from their phone. Video appears in the feed and on the big screen alongside photos, and is included in the ZIP download.
Can we show photos on a big screen during the event?
Yes! Open the wall link on a laptop connected to a projector or TV. New photos appear with a spotlight animation. Perfect as entertainment during dinner, in the lobby, or on a screen in a common area.
How do we make sure the content stays appropriate?
Spekto includes AI moderation that automatically flags inappropriate content. You can also enable pre-approval so you review everything before it goes live. Ideal for corporate events where reputation matters.
Can we brand the experience with our company logo?
With Spekto Pro you can upload your company logo to display on the big screen wall, the QR code, and the feed header. You can also choose a corporate theme with professional colours and custom branding.
Can attendees find photos they're in?
Yes, with MagicFind (Spekto Pro). Attendees take a selfie and Spekto automatically finds photos they appear in — among hundreds of event photos, with no searching or scrolling. The selfie itself isn't stored, only a mathematical representation is used for matching.
Does it support multiple events?
Yes, each event is separate. Perfect for companies that have a kick-off in January, a summer party in June, and a Christmas dinner in December — just create a new event for each one.
Is it GDPR-compliant?
Yes. All data is stored on a dedicated server in Norway. Consent mode can be enabled per event. Guests can delete their own photos. Full privacy policy at spekto.live/privacy.
Does Spekto work for international attendees?
Yes. Spekto is available in English, Norwegian and German, and guestbook recordings are automatically transcribed regardless of the language spoken. Perfect for international conferences and teams.
